We respect your privacy. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.
Information we collect
- Order information: your email, the name and details of the person the song is for, the stories and tone you share, the date you need the song by.
- Payment information: handled directly by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. We do receive a confirmation of payment and the last four digits of the card.
- Basic analytics: page views and referral sources, without identifying you personally.
How we use it
- To write and deliver your song.
- To send you the finished file and any revision links.
- To process your payment and remit any applicable taxes.
- To improve the service over time.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share information only with the providers we need to run the service: Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Supabase (order storage), and Vercel (hosting). Each is bound by their own privacy commitments.
Examples on the site
Sample songs and details on our examples page are shared only with the explicit permission of the family who ordered them. If you do not want your song shared as an example, you can opt out on the order form, and you can opt out later by emailing us.
Your rights
Under EU GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email hello@thefuneralsong.com to make a request and we will respond within 30 days.
